The "Last Poets" reunion was held the weekend of July 24-26, 2009! This was the last team to play at Dunbar High School before intergration with E. C. Glass!
THIS AFFAIR WAS HELD WITH A COOKOUT AND PROGRAM AT THE HUNTON-RANDOLPH COMMUNITY CENTER, SATURDAY AFTERNOON! MR. GARNELL STAMPS WAS THE M.C. OF THE PROGRAM! THIS REUNION WAS THE BRAINCHILD OF ABRAHAM HUGHES WHO ALONG WITH GODFREY SKINNER, ROY ROBERSON, AND OTHERS PULLED OFF A GREAT AFFAIR!!
SATURDAY NIGHT THE DUNBAR/GLASS, 40TH REUNION CLASSMATES JOINED THE "LAST POETS" FOR A PROGRAM & DANCE AT THE QUALITY INN!
