This page is dedicated to all the Bands and Groups that used to play in the area clubs! Also here are some shots of two Nightclubs in Lynchburg!

The Lynchburg area has some GREAT talent! I know that everyone remembers going to the Sportsman Club, WW Lounge, Everyday Peoples Club, Moonlight, Whitehall school, Jackson Hgts. center, Elks, T.J. Callans, Tippin Inn, Altavista Armory, Roses Lounge, and the Phase III to name a few! The bands were GREAT, the altercations were FEW, and everyone went out to have a GOOD time!!  Pictured below...I have a copy of just about all the records that were done locally in my collection!   These are a few!

This is the band I played for...The Virginia Wolves! Perry Smith, George Walker, Jessie Griffin, Kenny Banks, Jimmy Abbott, lead singer-Piggy Megginson, Ronnie Rathers, Ricardo Abbott, and Danny Stamps. We played "live" at the Paramont theater on the First Colony teen party heard Saturday mornings on then rock, WLLL! Who can forget the "Rockin' Rhythms at the Sportsman Club! Lemuel Morris, Roger Coles, Aubrey Barbour, Jack Davis, Carlton Payne, Beverly Lippford, Willie Crews, Dennis Saunders, and L. A.
